Things to do
Arts and Culture
Visit the Mappa Mundi in Hereford Catherdral, one of the oldest maps of the world, or the many art galleries dotted about the county or time your visit with H-Art week, when many artists open their studios and galleries to the public. The Courtyard is Herefordshire’s Cultural Creative Hub. Theatre, Cinema and Gallery and the unforgettable Hay Festival of Literature & the Arts just across the border in Wales.
Shows, Day trips and Shopping
The Malvern Showground is a few miles up the road and hosts the RHS Malvern Spring Festival, the Three Counties Agricultural Show and the RHS Malvern Autumn Festival. If shopping is your thing, you can head for the historic county town of Gloucester and visit the Quays shopping centre.
Outdoors and Adventure
Expect wonderful walking, the kind that promises stunning natural surroundings – the Offa’s Dyke Path, Mortimer Trail, Fairlands Valley Park, Black Mountains, Wye Valley and Malvern Hills are all on our doorstep. Or set out on the water, a river cruise perhaps or tackling the rapids at Symonds Yat. Fishing, cycling, riding and golf – the list goes on.
